OUR NUMBERS
OPC Australia was founded in 2017 following the success of OPC UK – and inspired by similar objectives.
First founded by Professor David Price in 2006, Optimum Patient Care UK (OPC) is a not-for-profit social enterprise that now has over 19 years of experience supporting quality improvement activities and research across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Australia.
OPC prides itself on building a network of over 1200 GP Practices across the UK working together to improve the care and management of asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) patients through ethically approved research. OPC offers the following services at no cost to GP practices and CCGs across the United Kingdom and Australia:

Quality improvement program to support annual re-validation (currently asthma & COPD)

Enhanced quality data collection (Questionnaires, improved coding)

Research support (database, phase IV and V trials)
OPC is supported by an extensive range of clinical experts as part of the OPC Clinical Expert Advisory Board, comprising a group of leading respiratory experts to ensure the best possible clinical service is provided.
